The Amundi Evian Championship 2026: The Biggest Show in Women’s Golf

The Amundi Evian Championship tees off on Thursday, July 9. The only women’s golf Major held in continental Europe returns to the fairways of the Evian Resort Golf Club for its 32nd edition.

With a total prize fund of $9.1 million, including $1.4 million for the winner, 132 players from around the world will compete to etch their names into the tournament’s history and succeed Australia’s Grace Kim, crowned champion in 2025.

Bringing together established stars and emerging talent, The Amundi Evian Championship is once again set to showcase the very best in women’s golf.

The World’s Best Take Centre Stage

As one of the premier events in women’s golf, The Amundi Evian Championship promises a thrilling 32nd edition, supported by an increased $9.1 million purse.

The world’s elite will be in attendance, led by the outstanding Nelly Korda, already a two‐time Major champion this season after victories at the Chevron Championship and the U.S. Women’s Open, firmly established as the world’s No. 1.

Joining her is an exceptional field featuring defending champion Grace Kim, world No. 2 Jeeno Thitikul, 2014 champion and current world No. 3 Hyo Joo Kim, Céline Boutier, whose memorable victory in front of her home crowd in 2023 made history, and Lottie Woad.

At just 22 years old, the English star, now ranked world No. 4, had already turned heads by finishing third in the 2025 edition while still competing as an amateur.

Another player to watch is Hae Ran Ryu, who recently claimed the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship for the first Major title of her career. Her story has a special connection with Evian: the South Korean won The Amundi Evian Juniors Cup in 2015, both individually and with her team.

It is a perfect illustration of the tournament’s long‐standing commitment to nurturing emerging talent and supporting the champions of tomorrow.

The Next Generation Ready to Challenge the Elite

Remaining true to its mission of discovering future stars, The Amundi Evian Championship will also welcome seven of the world’s most promising amateur players, all competing for the trophy reserved for amateurs.

Leading the way is American Kiara Romero. At just 20 years old, the current world No. 1 amateur has already impressed with her maturity and ability to compete alongside professionals, as demonstrated by her outstanding sixth‐place finish at the U.S. Women’s Open.

Named AJGA Girls’ Junior Player of the Year, Canada’s Aphrodite

On The Champions Course at the Evian Resort Golf Club, the world’s greatest players and tomorrow’s rising stars will share the same stage. A promise of world‐class competition, outstanding performances and unforgettable emotion, culminating on Sunday, July 12 with the crowning of the 2026 champion.
